When a customer calls and asks for a quotation over the phone, we can only give an estimated cost over the phone on the information that you have given us. If you preferred a home survey and quotation, we can arrange this only when we have time and are passing. We are out carpet cleaning in Birmingham and also other surrounding towns and cities seven days a week and carry out between 2 and 4 jobs a day, so sometimes a personal visit can be hard to do. However, rest assured we have been working in the carpet and upholstery cleaning industry for many years and the estimated cost we give to customers are usually spot on. You can always send us a picture on WhatsApp if that helps. Without wanting to seem arrogant with our truck mounted machine, we know that if it won’t come clean with us, it won’t come clean with anyone else.

Just that we actually enjoy our job and we are just an honest family run father and son business. We try and be fair and honest, in not only the way we work, but also we rely on you being pleased with what we do. That way you tell your friends and colleagues, and that in turn gives us pride in the fact that we are recommended to somebody else.

Most of the times we can only give an estimated time on job completion, it all depends on how easy it is to access, setting up our equipment, how much furniture is in the property, how much cleaning work there is to do. We want to cause you the minimum of disruption but also want to clean to our high standards, but the machine we use can clean cruise ships where the cleaning standard has to be first class but in a relatively short space of time.

When we have finished cleaning your carpets, we always set the carpet pile with a grooming rake. This removes all tool marks and footprints and helps to speed up the drying process. So yes, you can walk on it straight away, but we always say, try and stay off it as long as possible until it’s dry. Also if you have a slight bit of dirt on your shoes or slippers because the carpet is slightly damp, it will grab the dirt and it will stick to the carpet fibres. Also sometimes walking from a damp surface to a hard surface can cause an accident by slipping over, so please be aware of this.

When we arrive and walk through the job with you, we always ask, are there any particular spots or stains that annoy you and do you know what was spilt at the time. If someone has spilt tea or coffee or any other type of drink or food, which has dye content, in most cases the stain may not be removed, but sometimes the stain can lighten, so we can never give a 100% guarantee to any customer, but your carpet and upholstery will be clean.

We also have advanced stain treatment procedures that we can use for urine, and turmeric, and we can always advise if this may be an extra treatment you would like to consider.

UV Identification & Neutralization

To start the process, we thoroughly flush the carpet with pure, clean hot water to eliminate any excess turmeric or urine residue. This step is crucial in preparing the carpet for further treatment.

Specialized Colour Removal

We proceed by introducing an oxidizer that infuses oxygen molecules into the stain. As a result, the appearance of the stain undergoes a transformation, becoming less prominent and noticeable.

Black Light Colour Removal

In the subsequent step, we utilize a black light, which emits a unique wavelength within the light spectrum. This specific wavelength effectively breaks down the molecular bond between the turmeric or urine stain  and the carpet fibres, thereby addressing the discolouration issue.

Redyeing the Carpet

Should the stain persist despite previous efforts, we employ an innovative app capable of measuring the existing colours within the carpet. This data enables us to precisely recreate the perfect colours needed to restore your carpet to its original pristine condition.

Please note that this process is time consuming but can save you the cost of buying a new carpet.

All carpet and furniture manufactures recommend that your carpets and upholstery should be cleaned every one to two years, depending on the kind of use they are subjected to. When you vacuum your carpets, this helps remove dust, crumbs, dirt, and other debris. But a lot of the time there are very small dirt particles that work their way deep down into the fibres and fabrics, and it is this type of dirt that acts like sandpaper and grates against the fibres, which in time wears the fibres away leaving the carpet looking dull and dark. Eventually they become very visible, so this why we also recommend regular professional carpet and upholstery cleaning. Regular cleaning is still far more cost effective than replacing it no matter how inexpensive the items were in the first place.

If you have any small furniture, ornaments, or small tables in the rooms where you want your carpets cleaned, we always ask you to remove these items from these areas, so they cannot get broken. Also, if there is any electrical item like a television on a stand or a music system, we sometimes ask you to disconnect and remove these items from the area, if we cannot swing the stands to clean behind. We are fully insured if any damage arises, but we much prefer you to remove them. If there are any sofas or chairs, we can move these ourselves around the room if there is space. The same goes for bedrooms, as sometimes there is not much space to move these large items around. If the bed is safe to move, we will do it, but please be aware we need to protect our backs! However, our job is to clean as much as we can, as best as we can.

Once your carpet and upholstery has been cleaned, it will depend on types of fibre and construction. If you have a natural fibre wool carpet, the wool will absorb more moisture it may take a little longer to dry, whereas if you have a man-made synthetic carpet the fibres cannot absorb any moisture, so these types can dry a lot quicker. We always say to all our customers it will take between 2 and 4 hours. Believe it or not, you need airflow to maximise the drying time. Opening a window and getting a little airflow through the house will speed up the drying process. On a cold winter’s day that may be more difficult but just closing the doors and turning up the heat, means that the air becomes humid, and the carpet or upholstery cannot dry as quickly.

Yes, we are fully insured, we have £5 million public liability and risk treatment insurance in place because, with certain commercial work and contract work, that is what is now required.  This covers all of your furniture and belongings and also the items we are cleaning at the time just in case we have any accidents. And for your peace of mind, if you would like us to bring our insurance details with us to show you on the day you require the work to be carried out, then we would only be too happy to do so. In addition, we are also DBS checked for your peace of mind as we clean a lot of schools.
