Q: How long does it take before my carpet, upholstery will be dry?
A: Once your carpet and upholstery has been cleaned it will depend on types of fibre and construction. If you have a natural fibre wool carpet, the wool will absorb more moisture it may take a little longer to dry, where if you have a man-made synthetic carpet the fibres cannot absorb any moisture so these types can dry a lot quicker. We always say to all our customers it will take between 2 to 4 hours. Believe it or not you need airflow to maximise the drying time. Opening a window and getting a little airflow through the house will speed up the drying process. On a cold winter's day that may be more difficult but closing the doors and turning up the heat means that the air becomes humid and the items cannot dry as quickly.

Q: How long before I can walk on my carpet once it has been cleaned?
A: When we have finished cleaning your carpets we always set the carpet pile with a grooming rake, this removes all tool marks and helps to speed up the drying process. So yes you can walk on it straight away but we always say to try and stay off it as long as possible. Also if you have a slight bit of dirt on your house slippers, because the carpet is slightly damp it will grab the dirt and it will stick to the fibres. Also sometimes walking from a damp surface to a hard surface can cause an accident by slipping over, so please be aware of this.

Q: How long will the job take?
A: Most of the times we can only give an estimated time on job completion, it all depends on how easy it is to access, setting up our equipment, how much furniture is in the property, how much cleaning work there is to do. We want to cause you the minimum of disruption but also want to clean to our high standards, but the machine we use can clean cruise ships where the cleaning standard has to be first class but in a relatively short space of time.

Q: Can you give me a guarantee that the stain will be fully removed?
A: When we arrive and carry out a survey with you we always ask, are there any spots or stains and do you know what was spilt at the time. If someone has spilt tea or coffee or any other type of drink or food, which has dye content, in most cases the stain may not be removed but sometimes the stain can lighten so we can never give a 100% guarantee to any customer, but your carpet and upholstery will be clean.

Q: Can you give me a quotation please?
A: When a customer rings us up and asks for a quotation over the phone, we can only give an estimated cost over the phone on the information that you have given us. If you would prefer a home survey and quotation, we can arrange this only when we have time and are passing. We are out carpet cleaning in Birmingham and also other surrounding towns and cities seven days a week and carry out between 3 to 7 jobs a day so sometimes a personal visit can be hard to do. However, rest assured we have been working in the carpet and upholstery cleaning industry for many years and the estimated cost we give to customers are usually spot on. Without wanting to seem arrogant with our truck mounted machine we know that if it won't come clean with us it won't come clean with anyone else.

Q: Do I have to move any furniture?
A: If you have any small furniture, ornaments or small tables in the rooms where you want your carpets cleaned, we always ask you to remove these items from the areas where you are having cleaning carried out so they cannot get broken. Also if there is any electrical item like a television on a stand or a music system on a stand or unit, we will always ask you to disconnect and remove these items from the area, we are fully insured if any damage arises but we much prefer you to remove them. If there are any sofas or chairs we can move these ourselves around the room if there is space, the same as bedrooms sometimes there is not much space to move these large items around. But our job is to clean as much as we can as best as we can.

Q: How often should I have my carpets and upholstery cleaned?
A: All carpet and furniture manufactures recommend that your carpets and upholstery should be cleaned every 12 to 18 months depending on the kind of use they are subjected to. When you vacuum your carpets this helps remove dust, crumbs, dirt and other debris, but a lot of the time there are very small dirt particles that have worked their way deep down into the fibres and fabrics and it is this type of dirt that grates against the fibres which in due time wears the fibres away. Eventually they become very visible, so this why we also recommend regular professional carpet and upholstery cleaning. Regular cleaning is still far more cost effective than replacing it no matter how cheap the items cost in the first place.

Q: Have your company got insurance?
A: Yes, we are fully insured, we have £2 million public liability and risk treatment insurance in place at the moment and sometimes with certain commercial work and contract work, we do have to increase it to £5 even £10 million pounds. This covers all of your furniture and belongings and also the items we are cleaning at the time, just in case we have any accidents. And for your peace of mind if you would like us to bring our insurance details with us to show you on the day you require the work to be carried out, then we would only be too happy to do so. In addition, we are also CRB checked for your peace of mind.

Anything else I should know?
A: Just that we actually enjoy our job and we are just an honest family run father and son business. We try and be fair and honest, in not only the way we work, but also we rely on you being pleased with what we do. That way you tell your friends and colleagues, and that in turn gives us pride in the fact that we are recommended to somebody else.
